ABOUT
MYRY is a London-based alt-pop singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. She combines a broad range of modern alternative influences and hybridises melancholic pop with indie electronic sounds.
She had an unusual upbringing, raised between Belgium, Italy and the UK, giving her a unique accent and timbre to her voice. She moved to London to cultivate her passion for music as well as to attend university, and is a practicing medical doctor part-time.
Her releases feature fragile, intimate lead vocals intertwined with uplifting harmonies. These are complemented by arrangements that range from minimalist to experimental electronic, often emphasising soft piano, synth and ambient sounds.
MYRY's musical influences are broad as is her musical taste, ranging from the softer sounds of Bon Iver, The National, Radiohead, Keaton Henson, FOALS, Billie Eilish and Daughter, to more decisive arrangements such as Florence + The Machine, Glass Animals, and Alt-J.
MYRY released her debut single Ghosts in 2020, which was shortly followed by Stuck in a Loop and Salty, Sweet and Bitter Rain, all of which were produced by James Kenosha (Birdy, RHODES, Dry The River).
'Ghosts' was championed by BBC Introducing as a "Headphone moment", and MYRY has since been featured in several music blogs and media including Wonderland Magazine.
